Welcome to a new school year, we hope you all had a lovely summer. We would like to say a big hello to all the new children and their families and welcome back to those children who are returning to us for a second year. We hope that you will all enjoy your time at our pre-school. The first two weeks of the term we will spend settling the children into the pre-school routine. We will get to know what the children enjoy doing and we will then plan activities for the rest of the term accordingly.
The whiteboards in the entrance hall will keep you up to date with what we are planning to do and what we have done each day. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask myself, your child’s keyperson or any of the staff.
We love to hear about any ‘Special News’ that the children may have, this may be a special party your child has attended, a visit somewhere such as a museum, or something they have achieved, such as riding their bike. Forms are available in the entrance, once filled in this can then be handed to your child’s keyperson or to me and we will talk about their special news during the morning. I hope this is something you feel you will be able to become involved with.
We managed to raise £400.00 for the Action for Sick Children toddle, so well done and thank you to everyone that took part. We welcome any suggestions and ideas from parents/carers regarding any aspects of the pre-school, there is a suggestion box in the entrance hall or feel free to speak to me at any time.
Please could parents return their children’s reports and learning journey folders so that we can continue to fill them with their work and achievements.
As part as our commitment to recycle and support our environment we will be providing our newsletters via email rather than using paper copies from October. If you do not want to receive updates via email please could you let me know asap. There will be a paper copy in the entrance hall and we will update our website accordingly.
